The project aims to instill a reading culture in 240 children aged 0 to 12 living in a disadvantaged area of Istanbul, support their healthy development through education, events, activities, and games, and provide parents with access to art and sports, skill development workshops, and psychological support services through dedicated parent workshops.
This project, carried out under the umbrella of TÜRGEV Psychological Counseling Center with the support of the Istanbul Development Agency (İSTKA), aims to ensure that children and young people aged 0 to 12 living in disadvantaged areas of Istanbul become well-equipped individuals guided in line with their abilities in the medium and long term, while also improving their psychological well-being.
Within the Mevlanakapı Children’s Library and Workshop Center, we offer intelligence and developmental assessments for participants aged 0 to 12, various workshops, seminars and workshops for parents, social activities, and psychological support services.
All services offered within the scope of our project are free of charge. Aside from off-site trips, all activities are conducted at our children's library and workshop center.

Our Psychological Support Activities
Play Therapy: A free service we prioritize based on the importance and necessity for children who participate in our activities and are identified as needing it.
Parent Academy Seminars: A series of seminars held to help participating parents improve communication with their children and enhance their parenting skills.
Parental Guidance: Appointments are scheduled with parents who request consultations, during which the topics they wish to discuss are addressed.
