Sufi Music Choir

Sufi music is an art form that touches the depths of the soul and takes a person on an inner journey. The Sufi Music Choir brings together vocalists (hanende) and instrumentalists (sazende) such as those who play the qanun, oud, violin, rebab, tanbur, bendir, and kudüm, who wish to preserve and share this unique musical tradition.

Participation Requirements for the Choir

Vocalists (Hanende): Vocal artists who are interested in Sufi music and wish to be part of the choir.

Instrumentalists (Sazende): Musicians who can play instruments such as the qanun, oud, violin, rebab, tanbur, bendir, and kudüm.

Our sessions will consist of two stages. The first stage will focus on breathing and group vocal exercises, followed by repertoire practice consisting of hymns (ilahis) in various maqams.

Those who wish to participate with their instruments are expected to have sufficient knowledge of music notation and performance ability to accompany the choir.

Auditions will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at our GİF Vezneciler campus.

The first lesson will be held on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

Application Process

All our trainings are free of charge.

Applications are accepted only through the website.

You must create a membership on the website and fully complete the Training Profile section.

After completing your application, please verify its completion under the “My Training Applications” section.

Once your application has been reviewed, you can check the result under the same section.
