With the main sponsorship of TÜRGEV, TEDxVefaWomen set out this year under the theme “Shine Your Courage” with the aim of sharing the inspiring stories of women academics, artists, and entrepreneurs from all walks of life in Turkey—stories filled with creativity—and to amplify courage and labor. The event took place on December 15, 2019, at the Bağlarbaşı Congress and Cultural Center.
We are here to become the heirs of the Islamic History of Science treasure, shaped by the knowledge-seeking journeys of countless scientists throughout history.
The project aims to instill a reading culture in 240 children aged 0 to 12 living in a disadvantaged area of Istanbul, support their healthy development through education, events, activities, and games, and provide parents with access to art and sports, skill development workshops, and psychological support services through dedicated parent workshops.
